Here are some of my favorite lyrics, poems, and quotes.

Every life needs a little poetry...

Upon life's road
We stride along
Sometimes we sing
A lilting song.

At times we laugh
And then we cry
But if we have friends
We WILL get by.

Hug O' War

I will not play at tug o' war
I'd rather play at Hug o' war
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
and rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone Grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.
-Shel Silverstein

There were seventy-five people in the lobby and

''I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a
necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life
through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and
that enables you to laugh at life's realities.''

People are people,
No matter how small.

SONG: Tapestry-by Carole King
Tapestry Album-A&M Records

My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hue
An everlasting vision of the everchanging view
A wondrous woven magic in bits of blue and gold
A tapestry to feel and see, impossible to hold

Once amid the soft silver sadness in the sky
There came a man of fortune, a drifter passing by
He wore a torn and tattered cloth, around his leathered hide
And a coat of many colors, yellow-green on either side

He moved with some uncertainty, as if he didn't know
Just what he was there for, or where he ought to go
Once he reached for something golden hanging from a tree
And his hand come down empty

Soon within my tapestry along the rutted road
He sat down on a river rock and turned into a toad
It seemed that he had fallen into someone's wicked spell
And I wept to see him suffer, though I didn't know him well

As I watched in sorrow, there suddenly appeared
A figure gray and ghostly beneath a flowing beard
In times of deepest darkness, I've seen him dressed in black
Now my tapestry's unravelling; he's come to take me back
He's come to take me back

Wayward Tapestry

A bright hat appears
not meant to be there, and yet...
forming anyway.

My fingers will feel
what face slowly emerges
beneath this hat.

It may be my friend
who weaves with such joy and skill.
I hope so!

Were my skill greater,
then I would know that my pal
would appear.

But this tapestry
has a strong mind of its own.
So we'll see!

THE TAPESTRY LIST (with apologies to Star Trek)

Weaving....the ultimate frontier.
These are the voyages of the email list, Tapestry.
It's continuing mission:
To seek out new tapestry techniques,
To explore new wefts and new color blendings,
To boldly design what no one has designed before...
